February 2014 Weight Loss

2014-03-01 11.49.022014-03-01 10.55.102014-03-01 13.02.36

Here are my stats for February 2014:

Weight Loss Goal 2014: 50 lbs

Pounds to Lose:  45 lbs

Monthly Pounds Lost for February 2014: 0 lbs (maintained)

Inches lost: 0 (maintained)

February was a horrible month for weight loss. But then again I did not gain a pound either. I should be happy for that but I just can’t help but feel like a failure.

I recently had someone advise me on losing weight. LOL

I asked this person, “Have you ever been overweight?” of course, they responded “no”.

I replied, “Then you would not understand.”

To which he stated, “It’s as simple as eating less and exercising more.” Then he went to suggest the Lap Band. LOL

I wish it were as simple as eating less and exercising more. Sigh…but the Lap Band is not the answer either. One of the things I have learned during my excruciatingly slow weight loss journey is that I had to learn what works for me and my body. This doesn’t happen quickly or within a few months. Maybe if I was in my 20’s it could be that way. My doctor said my body does not lose weight like a normal person and I have to be very patient. I am going to continue to be patient and let my body lead me to skinniness.

By the way, I finally took a full length pic…BE NICE!

  1. Please don’t feel like a failure, I think your courage and beauty are amazing. Keep jumping back on the merry go round and I’m looking forward to another full body shot in a few months time. Keep your head up and keep going you beautiful girl….we’re all behind you xx

  2. Hey Kelly, just read a couple of your rants and weight loss agendas.
The easiest way to lose a few pounds with out rigorous excercise daily would be to cut a sodas completely, sugar flavored juiced teas and so forthI did that and lost about 5lbs.
Then I started exercising and using supplementary vitamins and stuff to increase the rate of my food being broken down by 300x. Gave up red meat. cut my carbs in half and this now for a two months lost around 50 lbs. Lost 4inches of the waist.
Now I’m taking it to the next level Yogaand cardio workout..,all the best don’t stop doing whatever you started out doing you’ll get result just sticking to the plan and maintaining it is the hardest part.

      1. Definitely 9 years I was a mere 185 lbs. chiseled. Then I got laid off and started putting on the lbs… gained 4 inches in two years. Before then I was extremely active not through exercise but what I did daily to keep in shape ..now a few months ago I decided to lose weight this was something I just wanted to achieve on my own. So I decide to cut my carbs. Sodas sugar cookies cakes everything that would make me gain a pound I cut out ..then I decide to cut out red meat. With that I noticed a tremendous change. I just want to share this with you cause I know exercising daily requires time and discipline sometimes we don’t seem to posse that ..but these few hints can make a tremendous difference with our struggle with weight.

      2. I mainly eat organic/whole foods. I stay away from many of the processed stuff and I stopped drinking any kind of sodas over a year ago. I do not miss cold drinks at all even the diet ones. 🙂
I walk now almost everyday for about an hour or longer. Soon I am going to incorporate weights and cross training type of exercise. I hope this will put me on the path to losing weight again as it is hard for me to lose weight.
I am happy to hear your doing well and I am sure that in time you will be chisled again. 🙂
